Location, props and costume report

Location: I chose to take my photos is a studio because I wanted a plain black background and I wanted to use studio lights to make it look as natural as possible. This made it easier when editing my photos in Photoshop because there wasn’t much detail to remove. However one of my photos which is positioned on my contents page was taken outside in a natural environment of a house and driveway. I did this because I wanted the magazine to look realistic and not so artificial. Props: I didn’t use many props other than the checked scarf. I used this because my target audience would benefit from it. The scarf is part of my target audience’s everyday outfit so by using it in my photos they would feel that they could relate more to what the magazine is saying. Costumes: Again the scarf is appealing to my target audience as well and the plain black baggy clothing. I chose this because it reveals that you don’t have to make a lot of effort to be liked and appreciated. This is also the type of clothing my target audience would wear so they will relate more to the idol. The makeup is very natural apart from the bright lipstick again this is so focus the attention just on her lips because it fits the colour scheme of my magazine.
