Initial Ideas

The initial idea for my magazine is to create a new music magazine based on the top charts and the more frequently downloaded. It will include celebrity articles and gossip, reviews on films, books and most recent concerts. This will open my magazine up to both genders, male and female and widen my audience. I will stick to the typical conventions on the front cover and have my title based in the top left hand corner so it reads along the top. I will use a bold, catchy font that isn't to feminine so the male audience won’t be put off by it. I am going to stick to the stereo typical magazine layout so that it is easily recognised by the consumers however I will add my own personal touch so it’s not the same as previous music magazines. I will need to focus on the colours of my magazine and not mislead the audience into what the content includes. I will use the same colours throughout the magazine; this way there is continuity within the whole magazine. I want my magazine to be used as an activity to do in their spare time and so it gets talked about around friendship groups and is recommended to others. I'm hoping people/readers find they can relate to my magazine and find it interesting enough to read the whole magazine.
